Building Poland's capacity for AI Safety research, policy and governance.

AI could change everything

Here's an argument for why we should care.

AI systems far smarter than us may be created soon. AI is advancing fast, and this progress may result in human-level AI — but human-level is not the limit, and shortly after, we’d probably see superintelligent AI.

These systems may end up opposed to us. AI systems may pursue their own goals, those goals may not match ours, and that may bring them into conflict with us.

Consequences could be major, including human extinction. AI may defeat us and take over, leading to humanity’s extinction or permanent ruin. If we avoid this outcome, AI still has huge implications for the world, including great benefits if it’s developed safely.

We need to get our act together. Experts are worried, but humanity doesn’t have a real plan to avert disaster, and you may be able to help.

We are working towards:

Increased awareness of AI-risks
Decision makers in Poland to acknowledge and treat AI risk as a serious problem. Broad awareness is the foundation for wise policy and responsible innovation. By engaging leaders and the public alike, we aim to ensure that AI risks are taken seriously and addressed with the urgency they deserve.
Better international collaboration
Better collaboration between Polish and international AI players. AI safety is a global challenge that requires open exchange and cooperation across borders. We strengthen Poland’s role in the international conversation by connecting local experts with leading researchers, institutions, and initiatives worldwide.
More AI Safety research funding
More funding dedicated to technical AI safety research. Sustained investment is critical to building the capacity needed for long-term impact. We work to channel resources from public institutions, private donors, and international partners into cutting-edge technical research that directly reduces AI risks.
More AI research
More people in Poland doing high-impact work in technical AI safety. We aim to grow a strong community of researchers, engineers, and thinkers dedicated to solving the most urgent technical challenges in AI safety. By supporting talent development and creating clear career pathways, Poland can become a hub for meaningful contributions to global AI safety efforts.
